If you happen to search on the internet some online or work-from-home jobs, you will clearly see that there are about hundreds of thousands of search returns, not to mention that almost 90% of those are fake. Nevertheless, there are quite a handful of home based jobs posted on the internet that are real, you just have to scrutinize everything up to the last detail. But aside from the most common jobs you see when you search such as freelance writing, website making, online tutorial, home based call center etc., there is actually one job that is not known to most of the searchers: data encoding. Data encoding is actually one of the simplest, yet meticulous job to do. You have to have a keen eye on details since you will be asked either to transfer certain word files from hard to soft copy, depending on what the client wants as there are no room for errors when it comes to data encoding.

The corporate world is a rate race. Everything that’s happening in the four walls of the office is competition, starting from your job interview (you have to be at your best to get the job you are dying to get), until your retirement (you have to perform and produce so that you won’t get fired and actually reach retirement). So, if you feel like you still aren’t ready to face the dog-eat-dog society out there, you might want to settle first for a home based job. Don’t get me wrong, home based jobs are NOT less stressful. In fact, there are some instances that home based jobs are much more stressful than the typical office work. Though you can have your own time in accomplishing things, their difference lies on the environment. When you have an office job, you’ll be able to leave your paper works in your office by the time you step out of the building. However, in a home based job, you can’t help but mix your household chores with your work. Plus, your sleeping time will indeed be disoriented. You have to choose wisely and explore the things you want before you make any decision.

Many job seekers rely too much on the internet that they miss out on the fact that there are good sources elsewhere. Only a small percent of job listings are posted and not all of the listings are up to date and relevant to you. Aside from seeking jobs online, try out networking because this is a time-tested method and a lot of opportunities happen with this. You could also scan business and trade publications that offer detailed information about the job. You could also register with staffing firms that offer specialized assistance for job seekers; they will be of immense help and you will be more likely to find a job that fits you.

Wanna earn extra cash even though you don’t leave that chair? I have three words for you: Online Paid Surveys. Google the phrase and you’ll find that there’s plenty to choose from. This is because companies do market research and they need feedback from people like you. In return, they are willing to pay cash, send you free samples of their products or other free items. All you need is an email inbox, a Paypal account and spare time. Register on as many sites as you prefer and give your e-mail so that you will be notified if there are any surveys coming up, but turn off the spam filter because e-mails from these companies might be treated as spam. If you want, you could make a new e-mail account just for online paid surveys. So, what are you waiting for? Get busy.

Did you know that sending your resume online may be a bad idea (look for the previous articles to find out why), and another important reason is that it could land on the spam folder of the employer’s mail? Why, you ask? It is because of the infamous Spam Filter which detects junk mail/suspicious email/unwanted email and sets them apart from other email. This encourages the inevitable result of your email to get ignored, overlooked and erased. SO! Now you know why sometimes you don’t receive responses when you apply via internet. Read this http://www.job-hunt.org/article_antispam.shtml for more information to infiltrate that filter.

If you’re applying online and sending your resume via the internet, you must be sure that it would reach your employer and not land on the desks of hackers, evil-doers, busy-bodies, and identity-thieves! Make your resume safe and you make yourself safe, and that includes the identity and well-being of yourself and your current job. Visit http://www.job-hunt.org/resumecybersafe.shtml before sending that resume. With the rate of scammers, internet fraud and online crime going on, it’s better to be safe than sorry. After all, there are lots of good people out there who make articles that help the online job seeker, so let’s do ourselves a favor and read what they write.
