Careers Over Time
In the past, the term ‘career’ was traditionally associated with paid employment. It was referred to a single occupation. But in the present work of work the word ‘career’ is described as a continuing process–a process of learning and development. As one gains more experience in the world of work and as one undertakes a variety of life experiences, a career uniquely one’s own is being built. All the experiences in life, including work that has been paid for, interests like sports, and how one manages a household should be a reflection of one’s potential.
